| Short Bio | I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Twente (Interaction Design research group), with expertise in systemic design, design for sustainable transitions, and futures thinking. My primary research and teaching focus on exploring how systems theory and practice can assist industrial design engineers in addressing the growing complexity of societal challenges. I investigate the impact of systems thinking on design competencies by examining the implications of adopting various systems approaches, methodologies, and tools to enhance the capacity of designers and engineers to challenge outdated systems and contribute to more sustainable futures. My work lies at the intersection of Social Science and Engineering. |
