| Short Bio | Gaomin Zhang is a Ph.D. candidate at the Carbon Neutrality and Climate Change Thrust, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), underscoring her expertise in financial analysis and accounting skills. Her work focuses on climate finance, emphasizing low-carbon infrastructure asset financing and innovative financial mechanisms to support China’s transition to carbon neutrality. Her doctoral research investigates feasible low-carbon investment pathways in China, estimating the required investment scale across various technology levels and examining innovative financial mechanisms for mobilizing capital. As the first author, she has published in some Top journals, including Expert Systems with Applications and Chinese Journal of Management Science. Before pursuing her Ph.D., Gaomin gained professional experience in strategic planning and renewable energy policy research at one of China’s top wind energy companies. Additionally, she earned her Master’s degree from the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and conducted three years of research at the Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), a national think tank. During this time, she served as a key participant in several significant national projects, such as evaluating the National Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, she provided policy recommendations to senior Chinese government decision-makers. |
