Short Bio

I work on the social processes involved in energy transitions, at individual, organisation and system ‘levels’. I am particularly interested in connecting these to provide an integrated understanding.

Previously, I was Chair of Human Behaviour and Sustainable Development at Leuphana University. I have been a senior researcher at the Universities of Sussex, Leeds and Manchester, and a visiting professor at Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at the University of Utrecht, and the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE).
