My research funded by the RC-UK Energy Programme is about sustainable energy and communities. It focuses on urban energy governance and business organisation and the connection between city-scale low carbon energy projects and global energy and financial markets. As a member of the Royal Society of Edinburgh multi-disciplinary Inquiry: Facing Up To Climate Change I examined the role of civil society in sustainable use of resources. I have held research funding from ESRC EPSRC DTI EOC British Council and HE Funding Councils and have published in sociology psychology and management studies journals.
