| Why do you want to join the STRN network? | I am Colombian Ph.D. candidate based in The Netherlands, conducting research on sociotechnical imaginaries and heuristics for transformative change in the Global South. My primary focus is on designing innovation policies that facilitate post-extractive transitions. | Short Bio | Ernesto is a social scientist with more than 15 years of experience in the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) sector. He is an expert in the political and social studies of STI and has significant international experience and interdisciplinary training. During the last few years, he dedicated himself to research, consulting, teaching, and the management of STI projects for public, private, and third-sector organisations. His main topics of interest are: i) heuristics and imaginaries for STI policies, ii) transitions & transformations, iii) appropriation of knowledge; and iv) science diplomacy. Some of his strengths include qualitative and quantitative data analysis, team and project management methodologies, and the use of software for such purposes. |
